2-4-6-8 Diet

The 2-4-6-8 is one of the most popular diet plans for those struggling with EDs. Why? Well, for one, on some days you get to eat quite a nice amount, and this will in turn make your family less suspicious. But the most important reason is that it actually works. One of, if not the main reason some people reach a "plataeu" --are not eating anything but are maintaining their weight -- is because their metabolism has shut down. This diet keeps your metabolism going strong and, not only this, but gives it a kick start when you drop from the 800 to the 200.

So, how does the diet work? Well, it's pretty simple.
Day 1: Consume 200 calories
Day 2: Consume 400 calories
Day 3: Consume 600 calories
Day 4: Consume 800 calories

You can eat ANYTHING you want as long as it amounts to this number (another reason this diet may be so popular.) However, it is recommended you try and keep it healthy, and drink as much water as possible.

Possible variations:
Some people go for a 0-2-4-6-8, opting to start with a day of fasting
You can really vary it in many ways. Those trying to be a bit healthier, or new to restricting, may want to try a 600-800-1000-1200 diet.

This diet can be repeated as many times as you desire.

  1. I was ana for years and then got healthy. If you want to call healthy weighing 151 and being only 5'2. I can't seem to just have a normal weight. Either way, no way I'm staying the weight I am now. Going right back to this diet as it worked great when I was ana all those years ago.
